Going to Washington Passport Agency for a Passport

Washington is just one of a few states with a regional passport agency. Like the other agencies, you can get a passport form the Washington Passport Agency in less than two weeks. The agency can even get you a passport in one day. But to your travel document, you must provide some documents other than just a passport application. You will get a list of documents to bring to your interview.

The Washington Passport Agency office is in a Federal Building. So you must be prepared to go through checkpoints on your day at the meeting. Before you go, call the National Passport Information Center to get an appointment. Without one, you will not get to see an agent. On the day you of your interview, do not bring any hazardous material or carry a prohibited weapon. If you are late, your meeting will get postponed, and you must reschedule by calling the hotline number.
