Expedited processing for your passport application is the next option at the Pennsylvania Postal Services. This choice is for applicants who have a trip sooner than four weeks and need a new passport. Show proof of travel, as your itinerary, for approval. Since the processing time decreases, the cost increases. Ask the agent at any Pennsylvania Postal Services about it.

A Private Expeditor or a Regional Passport Agency

There are services available that will help you get a passport in less than two weeks. If you have a business trip, a medical or family emergency, and need to travel soon, a private expeditor or a regional passport agency can help. Apart from the standard documents, you must submit, additional documentation which is necessary for this service. These other documents include:

1. Passport Form (DS-11, DS-64, or DS-82)
2. Supporting Documents
3. Proof of Travel
4. Two letters of authorization (just for expeditor)
5. Job Letter (if it is a business trip)
6. Pay the cost

A private expeditor service is a bit different from a regional agency. For example, a private expeditor does not require an appointment while an agency does. You do not need to travel to a private expeditor’s office. On the other hand, you may go to a regional passport agency to submit your papers. To do so, call the National Passport Information Center for an interview. You will get yours at the Philadelphia Passport Agency or the New York Passport Agency. Whichever choice you make to get a passport, you must submit the necessary documents for processing and pay the fee that goes with it.
