How-To Guide to the Miami Passport Agency
The Miami Passport Agency offers an expedited processing service for American citizens who are traveling abroad within two to three weeks, or who are traveling abroad within four weeks and need to submit their passport for an entry visa.
The Miami Passport Agency will only process applications from people with immediate travel plans. People who are not traveling within two to four weeks should apply by mail, or at a Passport Office or Acceptance Facility. People who have a life and death emergency and require a passport for travel within 72 hours should contact the Passport Services Office directly.
The Miami Passport Agency is non-jurisdictional and accepts applications from all American citizens regardless of where they reside.
The Miami Passport Agency does not accept walk-in applicants. People who want to apply at the Miami Passport Agency are required to schedule an appointment by visiting the Online Passport Appointment System, or by calling the National Passport Information Center.
Important Warning
The Miami Passport Agency is temporarily closed due to significant water damage.
People traveling within 20 days who wish to apply for a passport in Miami should call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778 or 1-888-874-7793 (TTY/TTD) for further instructions.
Applicants who are traveling in more than 20 days should use the normal passport application procedures.

Access
By car: Metered parking is available on Biscayne Blvd and North Bayshore Drive. There is also a parking garage (hourly and daily fees apply) in the OMNI building, as well as adjacent parking lots nearby.
By Metromover: The Miami Passport Agency is located across the street from the Metro Mover Omni Station.

The Miami Passport Agency offers all regular passport services, including:
- New passport applications
- Child passport applications
- Passport renewal
- Replacement of lost passports
- Replacement of damaged passports
What To Bring
- Appointment confirmation number
- Proof of travel within two to three weeks, or proof of travel within four weeks and proof of entry visa requirements
- Completed forms and supporting documents
- Payment for the expedited application fee. Payment can be made by major credit card, debit card, check, bank draft, cash or money order.
Processing Times
Applicants should arrive no more than 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Applicants arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time will be required to make another appointment.
Passport processing time depends on the nature of your travel plans and the current volume of submissions. Some applicants may receive their new passport on the same day, but the majority of applicants will have to wait two or three days.
