How-To Guide to The Boston Passport Agency

The Boston Passport Agency offers an expedited processing service for American citizens who are traveling abroad within two to three weeks, or who are traveling abroad within four weeks and need to submit their passport for an entry visa.

The Boston Passport Agency will only process applications from people with immediate travel plans. People who are not traveling within two to four weeks should apply by mail, or at a Passport Office or Acceptance Facility. The Boston Passport Agency is non-jurisdictional and accepts applications from all American citizens regardless of where they reside.

The Boston Passport Agency does not accept walk-in applicants. People who want to apply at the Boston Passport Agency are required to schedule an appointment by visiting the Online Passport Appointment System, or by calling the National Passport Information Center.
