New Hampshire Passport Office Finder: Find the Nearest Passport Offices in New Hampshire
The New Hampshire Passport Offices will take your passport application and submit it to a processing center. These passport offices are in buildings across the state. The most notable and convenient place to go is the post office. The other locations that will take your application as well are the county clerk’s office, courthouse, and public library. All these sites offer the same application processes at the lowest of prices.
There are two other options to get a passport application process faster than the post office. The other two are a regional passport agency and a private expeditor. These choices; however, are the most expensive ways to pay for a passport.
New Hampshire Post Offices
Before going to the post office, start to gather the documents that you must present to the agent. The list will vary because of the processing option available. Below is a list with general documents you will need:
- Passport Form (DS-11, DS64, or DS-82)
- Supporting Documents
- Proof of Travel
Along with the papers, you must have the fee to cover the application, execution, and service fee (for expedited processing).
At the post office, you have two processing options, routine and expedited. Normal processing takes 4 to 8 weeks and is the cheaper of both. Expedited processing takes 2 to 3 weeks and costs more than the average processing.
Rush Service
To get a passport sooner than two weeks, seek the service of a regional passport agency or a private expeditor. Both companies are authorized to provide a passport in emergency circumstances. To get approval to use either, you must give some documents to show you need a passport urgently. Here is a list of documents you must submit for approval:
- Passport form
- Supporting documents
- Proof of travel
- Two letters of authorization (only for an expeditor)
- Company letter (just for a business trip)
- Emergency proof (for an emergency trip)
- Pay cost (passport, execution, and service fees)
Each company has their way of collecting these documents. A regional passport agency requires you to submit them in person. To do so, you must schedule a meeting through the National Passport Information Center by calling the toll-free number. You will get your interview at the National Passport Center when you are available.
The private expeditor does not require you to meet with them. You can submit your documents by overnight mail along with the fees. When the new passport is ready, you can request overnight delivery back to you. You can go into their office if you choose to give your papers.
Regardless of the one, you select to do business, once approved you will have your travel document to go on your trip.
